10 years wind farm Munderfing

On Sunday 13 October 2024, we will celebrate 10 years of successful wind power harvesting at the Munderfing wind farm.

Sunday, 13 October 2024 from 10 am

Where:

In the wind farm area at wind turbine MUF 2 and MUF 3.

Note:

  • During the event, a shuttle bus will be available from the EWS Consulting car park at Katztal 37 to the wind farm.
  • On the day of the event, it is also possible to hike or cycle from the municipalities of Lengau, Maria Schmolln, Schalchen and St. Johann am Walde along fixed routes.
  •  Travelling by train is possible to Munderfing station.

  •     80m crane at wind turbine MUF 3
  •     "Wild wind" children's programme and photo station
  •     Motor skills park & face painting for children
  •     Open wind turbine door
  •     Information stand "Wind farm expansion project"
  •     Entertainment by brass band
  •     Catering by fire brigades

 

13:00 Ceremony & Round table talk on wind energy on the festival stage at MUF 2

14:00 Raffle for the "Wind farm puzzle rally" with attractive prizes, including a tour of a wind turbine nacelle at lofty heights.

On the day of the event, you can travel to the festival on foot or by bike from the neighbouring communities along designated routes. It is also possible to travel by train to Munderfing railway station. A shuttle bus runs from the car park at EWS to the wind farm.
